Los Angeles, CA…Oakland-based vocalist/songwriter Thadeus Gonzalez will release his debut album, UTOPIAN SOCIETY, on September 9, 2014. The 11-track collection showcases influences from classic rock, metal, punk, and ‘90s alt.
“The Nude Land” opens the record with aggressive rock bombast, also demonstrated in the title track. It moves into alt tracks like “Your Needle Scratches My Vinyl” and the punk influenced “Literally.” While the lyrics are evocative and unusual, Gonzalez’s unique writing style is most evident in the sexy, moody “Our Connection” and the vulnerably revealing ballad, “White.”
