The Danish artist Kim Larsen died yesterday aged 72 (cancer). He was a very influential musician in most of Scandinavia (primary Denmark, Norway, Iceland & Sweden), and stayed popular till this day. His death has been frontpage news on the newspapers in at least these 4 scandinavian countries today. His first band Gasolin more or less defined the sound in rock in the mid seventies in specially Denmark.

Thank you, much appreciated reup đ
Thanks a lot for this great blog, is there any chance for a re-upload of Gasoline? Also, I’m looking for rather hard to find Danish music from the 80s-90s like Dodo & The Dodos or Ray Dee Ohh, do you maybe have more Danish music?
Best wishes,

The painting on the fence in the picture was made sunday at “Christiania”, when news of the death of Kim Larsen was known.
Very nice. I have never found any Gasolin’ before.
Latest Kim Larsen releases are too much “schlager” to my taste.
I prefer the releases from the 70’s until early 90’s
Citation from discogs: “In total, as a solo artist Kim Larsen has sold approximately 3 million records, equivalent of one record for every two Danes.”
