Welsh-born Australian singer, born 20 July 1953 in Carmarthen, Wales, UK. The first lead singer of AC/DC, he recorded their first single with them, but (Malcolm Young's glam predelictions notwithstanding) he had musical differences with the Young brothers Malcom and Angus and left the band after 9 months.
