Lady Fayne had been eviscerated by a guard’s bayonet, and Tic Toc was blown apart in the asylum minefields. Their sacrifices were not in vain, however, because E-Bomb and Scary D were able to bribe their way onto a cargo ship headed for Mars. E-Bomb was an experienced pilot, and Scary D was an expert in deception. The ship’s crew was in need of both. It would be a relief to be home again.
