Bruno Cavicchini is an Italian guitar player currently based in Rome, Italy.
He was born in 1977 in Matera, South of Italy. At 8 years old he enrolls at the “Bèla Bartòk” Music School in Matera to take up classical guitar training. In 1991 he moves on to “Onyx Jazz Club” Music School to delve into the world of blues and jazz.
Yet Bruno's real love is for rock guitar. In particular, the refined hard rock drive behind the sound of RITCHIE BLACKMORE both in the Rainbow and Deep Purple; the spacey lisergic visions by DAVID GILMOUR in the Pink Floyd; the fiery visionary guitar-trips by JIMI HENDRIX; the sheer genius of JEFF BECK; the technicalities of prog rock; the virtuosity of '80s guitar shredders (MALMSTEEN/VAN HALEN/PAUL GILBERT/VINNIE MOORE). The blend of all those musical influences is what lies at the core of Bruno's own vision of music..
