Dirty Pretty Things were an English band fronted by Carl Barât, a member of The Libertines. The formation of the band was announced in September 2005, after a dispute between Barât and Pete Doherty led to the breakup of The Libertines in 2004. Didz Hammond announced he was leaving the Cooper Temple Clause to join the band alongside Libertines drummer Gary Powell and guitarist Anthony Rossomando. The band's debut album, Waterloo to Anywhere, was released on 8 May 2006, reaching number three on the music charts and receiving critical approval. More»


In December 2006 Classic Rock #100 was published. The enclosed cd was in fact only the 37th (compilation) cd being released with an issue of the magazine. Some of the previous issues instead was more likely in some cases to have a compilation DVD enclosed.  However since 2007 a companion cd has been following almost all issues. In the UK some issues even has featured 2 cd's of which one was not enclosed outside the UK. More»


As the success of the first Issue of Classic Rock showed a market for this type of magazines, the second issue soon followed and it was published in January 1999.

Roadhouse was a British rock band that once included former Def Leppard members guitarist Pete Willis and drummer Frank Noon. According to the band's website, the band recorded a 4 song demo with Noon as their drummer. However, Noon was no longer in Roadhouse by the time of the recording of their debut album. Roadhouse released their self-titled album in August 1991. The album is often referred to as On A Desert Road, a reference to a line in the song "Time". Several singles were released from the album, with b-sides that are not on the album. More»

Just-If-I was a short lived one album project formed by Mike Reno, Neil Shilskin & Sam Kalenuik. The album was self released in 1991. During the following years the album got re-released by minor record companies in Canada (1993) , Japan (1993), Germany (1994) and USA (1996). In 2012 German label AOR Heaven reissued the album in a limited edition.
Besides the tree founders the album includes performances by Russell Klyne, Neal Schon, Ken "Spider" Sinnaeve, Matt Frenette, James McGillveray, Dee Daniels, David Steele and Ian Putz.

This also UK based Roadhouse is lead by guitarist, singer and song writer Gary Boner. Formed in the early 1990's they are still very active having performed at more than 2,000 live shows. The band has so far made at least 16 album releases. More»


Nova Rex was formed in Florida in the mid-80s by J.P. Cervoni and Kenny Wilkerson. They soon moved to Hollywood, but because of the rise of grunge they relocated to Indiana, home state of bassist Kenny Wilkerson. They released their first self titled album in 1987. More»


During his career in music Jimmy (Jim) Messina has been a major influence in creating the country rock sound, which bands as Eagles made world famous. He first became known to a greater public when working first as engineer and producer for Buffalo Springfield and finally bass player in the band. After they split Jimmy Messina together with Richie Furay in 1968 formed Poco (originally named Pogo). Two years and three albums later he left Poco and signed on as independent producer with Columbia. More»

Classic Rock is a British magazine dedicated to rock music, published by Future. Despite the November / December 1998 issue was meant as an on-off project it became one of the UK's best selling music magazines.  In June 2018 it published its 250th issue.
Although firmly focusing on key bands from the 1960s through early 1990s, it also includes articles and reviews of contemporary and upcoming artists it deems worthy of note. More»
