Dave Clark wrote a science fiction stage musical, Time, which debuted in 1986. It played for two years in London's West End, starring Cliff Richard (replaced later by David Cassidy). Hard rock band formed in late 1986 in Los Angeles by Jimmi Bleacher, Scott Lane, Michael Hannon and Khurt Maier. In 1987 Scott Lane was replaced by Pete Reveen. The band signed a record deal with Geffen and recorded a 3 track demo for Geffen prior to recording their debut album "Every Dog Has Its Day". Geffen had the demo duplicated to tape by US-American cassette replicator / duplicator  52nd Street which was based in Hollywood, California. Hellion started as a cover group, covering songs by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions and AC/DC. In an attempt to gain a major label recording contract the group entered Fiddler's Studio in Hollywood to record a demo.
