It’s 1987. Hollywood, with its style and sounds, is exploding. Five California kids… and a guy from Alabama… working in various bands come together with a shared dream - making it big on the Sunset Strip with their band, RARE TOUCH! Five guys, busting their asses on the stages of The Roxy, The Whisky, Gazzarri’s, and The Troubadour. More»

Sometimes a record appears out of nowhere which literally takes your breath away. So it is with the Ladder, a sensational five piece with virtually no pedigree to speak of, but fully loaded with talent and a raging desire to make as big an impression as humanly possible. The fact that their sole album failed to make a commercial impact is neither here nor there but 38 years after its release we are still talking about its enduring and timeless quality. More»

The CD Hoard is a 5-CD trawl though a selection of the Saxon’s live performances and provides some continuity with the 1990 recording. The Dogs Of War, from 1995, is chronicled on two CDs and is an early live account with newbie guitarist Doug Scaratt. This was previously released as The Eagle Has Landed II and ‘Denim & Leather’ features the rather unlikely appearance of Yngwie Malmsteen. More»

Dirt Eater is the second (and last) album released by Swedish Human Race. Though officially this time reduced to 4 members all of the 5 founding members participated in the recording of the album. The band obviously gets a lot of inspiration from Dio era Rainbow and the album closer is in fact a cover of Rainbow's Tarot Woman. Because of the style and sound of the band they are also often compared to Pretty Maids and TNT. More»

"Paris Is Burning" is called "Paris", and is actually a studio version as opposed to the live recording in Berlin from December 1982. The album also contains a song called "We're Illegal", which later turned into "Live To Rock (Rock To Live)". More»
