“Askari” is the only album by Alan Askari released in May 1998 on Japanese label Avalon and produced by Tommy Newton, known for his work with bands like Helloween, Victory, Crystal Ball, Sargant Fury, etc. The recordings took part at Area51 Recording Studio, Celle (Germany). Killer production, vocals, and backing vocals! For fans of Oxido, 21 Guns with LaVerde, etc.. If you like backing vocals along the lines of Baton Rouge, then you need this one. I favor tracks 4, 5, and 8 personally, but all are very good. Thanks to Mad_Roy and his awesome mp3 of the title track which had me hooked from the start. I can't believe this came out in 1996!
