Project of Achim Wierschem (Mindmovie, Flaming Bess, Marquette) Horizontal Ascension was founded by Michael Hartman, Markus Roth and Achim Wierschem in 2015. The 3 bandmenbers had done various very successful projects together, and the harmony between them was so good that they decided to form a new band. The first result is the self titled album debut "Horizontal Ascension".
Although the physical distance between the three members spans across the ocean and half of our blue planet composing and sharing of ideas turned out very easy and naturally, and creation of the album was much quicker than expected at first sight. Horizontal Ascension offers a total of 6 Tracks / 74 Minutes of finest modern Progressive Rock,Comparing the album to others of Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Opeth, Dream Theater or Spock's Beard is obvious on one hand, but does not do justice to the unique fusion of styles which finally turns out as being pretty unique. We recommend the listenes to listen to the full album, or in case you have less time available maybe "Until the Morning Comes" may be a good showcase of what you can expect.
