In 1996 Yngwie Malmsteen released the album "Inspiration" solely consisting of covers of songs which inspired the young Yngwie. On the following tour most of the songs from the release were performed live. This concert was recorded at Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan on 4th November 1996.
It is no surprise that half the songs were Richie Blackmore covers (Deep Purple and Rainbow eras) and probably neither the Jimi Hendrix nor Scorpions (Uli Jon Roth era) covers. More surprising to his fans were probably the included covers of progressive bands like Kansas and UK.
