One of many Los Angeles musicians who started making great music and never stopped making great music in the late '70s, he was a founding member of The Quick, a power pop band whose members went on to go on to form legendary LA bands like Cruzados and The Founded Three O'Clock.
After The Quick recorded their first and only album, Mondo Deco (1976) and disbanded, Wilde ended up in another LA power pop band, Great Buildings, with future Rembrandt Phil Solem. Great Buildings recorded two albums, Apart From the Crowd (1981) and Extra Epic Everything (1982) before disbanding.
