The group consists of five fantastic singers who come from different European countries. In alphabetical order they are: Herma (also from SNB, another Frontiers singer), Karmen Klinc, Jelena Milovanovic, Tezzi Persson (also from Infinite & Divine, another Frontiers singer) and Erina Seitllari. Each vocalist is an outstanding vocal talent while also providing a unique visual representation of a character created for Venus 5. You simply have to experience them with your ears and eyes to believe it...
Born from an idea by the ever-creative Serafino Perugino, Frontiers' President & Head of A&R, Venus 5 is poised to be one of the freshest and most exciting new musical prospects to emerge from the European metal scene in recent years. The concept for Venus 5 began with the idea of creating a "metal" version of pop projects that have proliferated over the years, but giving them the credibility that comes with an ensemble of extremely musically talented individuals . Assembling the singers and musicians required a tremendous investment of time and energy, as the right talents had to be present to work together cohesively and with real chemistry. There was no interest in it being all about looks, which should be secondary to talent. The end result is that five outstanding singing stars from diverse musical backgrounds (and countries) have been brought together to collaborate with the vision of creating a monster album ready to be unleashed on unsuspecting audiences.
While comparing it to a "metal version" of pop projects might suggest that Venus 5's visuals are the main focus, make no mistake, the music is the main focus here. The team of producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Timo Tolkki's Avalon, Sweet Oblivion, etc.) and his writing team, including Jake E. (Cyrha, ex-Amaranthe), who co-produced the vocals, Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation, who also who plays guitars on the album) and Per Aldeheim (Def Leppard, H.E.A.T, Stanfour, etc.) have created an approach that offers a feast of musical goodness.
Venus 5 is highly recommended for all lovers of the current European metal scene, as they pick up influences from e.g. Within Temptation and Amaranthe (not surprising given the involvement of Within Temptation guitarist Stefan Helleblad and former Amaranthe vocalist Jake E.), complement them with captivating, catchy melodies. A unique flavor that only Venus 5 can offer with such an outstanding amount of vocal talent within the band.
