On July 13, 1985, an international charity music festival was held, organized by two British leaders of the Boomtown Rats - Bob Geldof and Ultravox - Midge Ure, to raise funds to help those affected by the terrible famine of 1984-85 years in the African republics: Ethiopia, Sudan, Chad ... The main venues were: the stadium - "Old Wembley" in London (UK) 82,000 spectators and the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia (USA) about 100,000 spectators.
