A new duo and if you're looking for seamless, not unfunky pop-gospel, one worth investigating. Two Hearts are Michael and Carrie Hodge, a husband and wife team and their soul-tinged pop sound has the touch of class you'd expect from a US recording budget. The first time I listened to 'Stand Your Ground' I found it bland, but with a few more plays what emerged was a well thought out and produced (by Brian Tankersley) album.
Vocals are good and so are the various instrumental breaks contained within many of the tracks. The songs are about various aspects of the Christian life, discipleship, worship. Nice try for a debut...
