The main question is the actual purpose of the release. Is it to resist the glam-stomping recent past and join the ever swelling ranks of allegedly “tortured” singer-songwriters, or simply to present an alternative example of Dudzinski’s more self-effacing, sensitive side?
Either way, the exercise is not all that successful, simply because the songs themselves aren’t really that memorable or even affecting, with only “Hell To Pay” and “The Wrong Remains” lingering in my memory for any time at all afterwards. Is it rock ? Is it sleaze? Absolutely not, and, of course, the real question is — is it Tremendous? Well, not really. Not in my opinion anyway, but it is, I suppose, mildly pleasant and undemanding fare.
