Back in 2006 there were great news for all Melodic Hard Rock / AOR aficionados world-wide: one of the pillar bands from the genre reunited. Swedes TREAT got together again with original singer Robert Ernlund, and to celebrate they decided to release a ‘best of’ compilation.
But to give fans a taste of this reunion, TREAT also recorded 2 new songs. Titled “Weapons Of Choice”, the CD compiles 19 songs from the band’s 5 official albums to that date, with the bonus of 2 brand new songs.
And the ice on the cake is the previously unreleased track “Still In Heaven” also included on the set. This is a fantastic 1989 track from the ‘Organized Crime’ sessions, professionally recorded but never used. Glad they finally released this song… it’s a killer monster tune!
“Weapons Of Choice” is perfect for newcomers, but also TREAT fans: new songs only found here, and the best from the Swedes into a single disc, all finely remastered.
