American Rick Thibodeau is one of these musicians who expanded their talent to all spheres of the music business. Mainly vocalist & bass player, since the early ’80s he has always been in one band or another – often multiple bands at the same time. With his band TRAPPER – not to be confused with others of the same name – Rick performed all up and down the East Coast for over a decade, releasing private cassettes by themselves.
By the mid-Eighties Thibodeau started getting into music for film & TV shows writing songs for ‘Sunset Strip’ (1985), ‘State Park’ (1988), ‘There Is Was a Thing’ (1993), just to mention a few.

But also many TRAPPER songs were included into Hollywood movie soundtracks, such as ‘Turn Around’ (Necromancer soundtrack 1988) ‘Ride It’ (Deadly Dancer soundtrack 1990), ‘Trippy Senorita’ (The Sopranos), etc, all now available for the first time into “Rockin’ The 80’s & Beyond“, the album released by Rick Thibodeau himself.
This is pure ’80s melodic rock with radio friendly approach, some AOR touches, and overall that era’s ‘action movie’ style. Sound quality is very good considering these tracks never were officially released, nor the soundtracks from the movies where originally appeared.
A really cool release for fans of the genre and soundtrack fanatics.
