TIM FEEHAN‘s first solo albums were featured here as requested, lovely pieces of first half of the ’80s AOR. Subsequent Feehan’s records had a much more mainstream sound and bigger production, as his self-titled from 1987 already featured at plotn08.
And one you can’t miss in your collection is Tim Feehan’s 4th album ‘‘Full Contact”, while appeared in 1990 is pure late Eighties bombast, Hi-tech AOR of the highest order with that special Canadian touch and top shelf musicians involved from Mike Landau, Bruce Gaitsch and Steve Lukather to Randy Jackson, Richard Marx, Tommy Funderburk and more.
”Full Contact” never has been re-pressed / re-mastered, but used CD copies are quite easy to find at decent price.
However, some years ago ”Full Contact” was available on CD again at Feehan’s website, which seems to be a self-released pressing – the cover artwork is different with ‘Full Contact’ in color.
Tim has the rights / masters of all his albums – he’s a renowned producer for films now and runs an important studio facility. And while it isn’t specified if the album has been remastered for this release, there’s an obvious tweak in the sound. In our opinion a re-mix has been done, with Feehan’s voice more upfront in the mix.
