And now we have the Limited 2-CD release, a live recording of legendary Irish Rock band THIN LIZZY performing at London’s historic Shepherds Bush Empire on December 17th, 2012. This set features all the band’s greatest hits spanning four decades and are the only recordings from their 2012 tour, after which they decided to retire the Thin Lizzy name.
At the time with the great line up of Scott Gorham & Damon Johnson on guitar, Brian Downey on drums, Marco Mendoza on bass, Darren Wharton on keys, and vocalist Ricky Warwick (also playing some guitar) Thin Lizzy delivered an electrifying and energetic performance that was echoed by their undeniable crowd support.
This final, last Thin Lizzy concert in UK “Live O2 Shepherds Bush Empire London (2CD, Limited Edition)” was recorded by Concert Live specialists – an ‘An Instant CD Production’ – you was able the buy the CD right after the show.
All the songs are here, from ‘Jailbreak’ and ‘Don’t Believe A Word’ to ‘Chinatown’, ‘Waiting For An Alibi’, ‘Whiskey In The Jar’, ‘Boys Are Back In Town’, etc – the sound is raw and in your face, true live, no edits.
Soon after this show & recording, the band morphed to Black Star Riders, another fantastic act for sure.
