Tommy Fiammenghi is an Italian singer/ guitarist who formed his band back in 2005. This album is the band’s second and it is a good listen. The four piece play classic blues based rock with plenty of 70’s and 80’s rock and prog influences. Tommy is a fine guitarist and can wring a mean solo from his axe. There are also Hammond organ interludes which add to the classic rock sound. Although the influences are obvious the band manage to sound fresh and up to date with good songwriting and great production on the album.

There is a good mix of full-on rock tracks and slower, more laid back numbers across the album all of which benefit from Tommy’s amazing guitar work and soulful vocal delivery. Highlights for me were the upbeat ‘I Can’t Believe It’s True’ and ‘White Snow’ which builds from a quiet start to a rocking crescendo with one of Tommy’s finest solos thrown in for good measure. The album also contains a couple of impressive instrumental numbers which showcase the band’s talents.

This is an album well worth a listen from a group of talented musicians who deserve to go far.
