FrontEverything starts at a rehearsal studio when this guys were playing different things together and covering bands like Alter bridge, Symphony X, Deep Purple, etc. Then, they realized about the rock and metal passion that they have in common. So, the composition process begins. Almost in every rehearsal they brought an idea that quickly turned into a hole song.

The only thing they want to do is rock the hell they can. Distortions, great solos, groove, rock love, all of this stuff you can appreciate in every song. That’s about it. It does not requires an entire history to share the music with every one who want to enjoy it. The South is were you wanna take your mind and soul with every melody, every note, every solo and every scream. We’ll see you every time you wanna go to The South.

The South is a righteous-sounding rock band from Colombia that had us at WoodBangers LLC Network groovin’ and bangin’ our heads from the moment we pressed play! This is a band that puts out jams that make a listener want to pick up a guitar and lay out some rockin’ riffs that are cranked to eleven! They can also compose rock ballads that will make anyone feel as if they are rockin’ on the tops of the mountains in Colombia. This is the least that can be said of “Too Young For War, Too Old To Fight”; The South’s debut album that was digitally released on May 16th, 2014. The South is Juan (Vocals), Felipe (Bass), Diego (Guitar), Mario (also on guitar), and Miguel (Drums). They say it all started when the five of them decided to start meeting up and jamming in the studio to cover songs by other bands. The jam sessions flowed into an out-pour of inspiration where ideas were sparked one right after the other and before they knew it, they were writing and recording their own material. We at WoodBangers must commend them for this. “Too Young For War, Too Old To Fight” is a great-sounding rock album that can be interpreted as a powerful declaration that The South is coming on strong and taking no prisoners. Rock on, fellas!
