TrayMICKY MOODY and BERNIE MARSDEN are both ex-members of WHITESNAKE, the pair being the driving creative force for a string of highly successful albums and hit singles. Marsden has also briefly been a member of UFO as well as leading his own acts ALASKA and BABE RUTH. Moody made his mark with SNAFU and playing on every WHITESNAKE album until '1987'. The guitarist also had his own act, YOUNG N' MOODY in partnership with STATUS QUO tour manager/ associate songwriter Bob Young, with whom he recorded a handful of singles and an album ('Young & Moody") between 1977 and 1981. Legendary drummer COZY POWELL was also involved with the band.
Moody started out in THE ROADRUNNERS, a North Eastern act fronted by PAUL RODGERS, later of FREE and BAD COMPANY, and bassist Bruce Thomas, later of ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS.

When THE ROADRUNNERS relocated to London and Rodgers was poached to form FREE, Moody formed TRAMLINE before a stint with the big band LUCAS &THE MIKE COTTON SOUND. A spell with ZOOT MONEY led to JUICY LUCY then SNAFU; both the latter acts releasing acclaimed albums.

The MOODY MARSDEN debut studio album featured re-works of three WHITESNAKE songs; 'Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City', 'Fool For Your Lovin' and 'Here I Go Again'. Also included was a cover of FREE's 'The Steeler'. Drums were supplied by former MONO PACIFIC and NIGHTFLY man Zak Starkey, who also happens to be the son of THE BEATLES Ringo Starr.

The second album 'Live In Hell- Unplugged' included an unplugged acoustic show, recorded in Norway at the Hell Blues Festival, with Moody and Marsden augmented by bassist Peter Stroud and drummer John Trotter.

Both Moody and Marsden were both in THE SNAKES, an act fronted by Norwegian vocalist JORN LANDE (real name) Yuken Landi that play exclusively WHITESNAKE material. This act, minus Lande, evolved into COMPANY OF SNAKES. Both guitarists also contributed to a 1999 WHITESNAKE tribute album.

Touring in recent times saw the MOODY MARSDEN band cementing the WHITESNAKE connection still further with the addition of Dave Dowle on drums. During 2000 the MOODY MARSEDN 1994 studio album 'Real Faith' would receive a second wind, re-issued under a new title of 'Ozone Friendly' with all new artwork and a different track listing by the HTD label.

2003 had the pair back together in a band unit once again, M3 also including their former WHITESNAKE colleague bassist Neil Murray. Fronting up the whole band, which was assembled primarily to perform classic WHITESNAKE material on the live circuit in Europe, would be the esteemed figure of former BLACK SABBATH vocalist TONY MARTIN. M3 was rounded off by Josh Phillips, previously with BIG COUNTRY, and Jimmy Copley of the PAUL RODGERS band and COMPANY OF SNAKES. A later addition the the band, on keyboards, would be former GRAND SLAM and MAGNUM man Mark Stanway.

Both Moody and Marsden featured as guests on Italian singer CHRIS CATENA's November 2003 album 'Freak Out!'. BERNIE MARSDEN also cut a new solo Blues album 'Big Boy Blue'. MICKY MOODY joined up with ROGER CHAPMAN's band THE SHORTLISTS for German tour dates commencing in April of 2004. Both M3 guitarists, Marsden and Moody, would play a special set of acoustic/electric Bues as special guests of TOTO at the Royal Albert Hall in London in June.
