The inspiration for The Green Planet Project was the result of the founders participating in Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp, January 2015. Among the counselors on the camp was Gary Hoey, Joe Vitale, Kasim Sulton, Joe Perry, Lou Gramm, Steve Morse and Bumblefoot. Each of the musicians record from home and then upload to Green Planet Studios for mixing, mastering, and global release. Through the years the group has expanded and after 7 years 46 individuals has been involved.
The focus is on authentic musical reproductions of songs from the 1960s-1990s
Blending different combinations of musicians has enabled the Green Planet Project to release more than 66 diverse songs. These songs provide a professional demo of each contributors' skill and talent so they can use their Green Planet Project contributions to drive interest in their local musical endeavors. Any talented musician can audition to be part of the project.
"Ready To Play" was the first release from The Green Planet Project. The release was expanded and some parts re-recorded in 2018.
