I’m incredibly thrilled to share this music. The title (El Dorado) references the mythical lost city of gold and its symbolic relationship to a place like Los Angeles; a place that seduces by promising all the fortunes and opportunities one could ask for. It speaks of my first year in the belly of it all; 1000 miles away from my family, and from the woman who inspired me to start writing in the first place. That’s not to say that there haven’t been plenty of positive feelings that have come from all this, but I don’t effectively feed upon joy for musical inspiration.
