Swedish / American melodic hard rockers TALISMAN still remain as one of our favorites in the genre. TALISMAN was the pride and joy of talented Marcel Jacob (RIP) who always dreamed with his own band after play & record with the likes of Yngwie and John Norum. With the mighty Jeff Scott Soto they formed this great Melodic Hard Rock / AOR outfit keeping the fire burning during the hardest decade for the genre: the Nineties.
All the Talisman catalog has just been reissued by a Swedish label with new artwork, newly remastered audio and previously unreleased material.
”Live in Stockholm [Deluxe Edition]” is part of the series, but it’s like ‘a new album’. The show was recorded at Club Mondo in Stockholm, Sweden back to August 4th, 2003. Some tracks were used for Talisman’s ‘Five Men Live’ release – but not the complete show.
”Live in Stockholm [Deluxe Edition]” has the 18 tracks full set played for the band recorded from the Club Mondo show and for the very first time include ‘Here 2day Gone 2day’ plus 3 amazing covers: ‘Crazy’ (Seal), ‘Scream Of Anger’ (Europe) and ‘I Don’t Know’ (Ozzy Osbourne).
It’s all great stuff from Soto & co.
