Swedish sleaze/thrash quartet Hardcore Superstar is celebrating ten years of awesome music by releasing a best of compilation. The Party Ain’t Over ‘Til We Say So will feature songs from records released between the years of 2000-2010. Taking its name from the lyrics to “Last Call for Alcohol,” from last year’s record Split Your Lip, the compilation also includes a brand-new single, “We Don’t Need A Cure.”And I’m still undecided on “Cure.”
At first listen, I really didn’t like it but now I don’t mind it so much. However, I don’t know if I just got used to it or if it’s actually good. Considering the albums they have to pick and choose from though, I’m sure it’ll be a good sampling of what they have to offer. Loyal fans (who, like me, probably even own their crap-punk record It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll from 1997) won’t be getting any surprises but a compilation is a good introduction to those not as familiar with the band. Just don’t judge them on this latest song. The Party Ain’t Over ‘Til We Say So comes out October 26 in Europe.
