Country USA Genre AOR 24 time Detroit Music Award-winning rock band SWEET CRYSTAL ups its musical game with the new release ‘7TH HEAVEN’ featuring seven of the most powerful and passionate songs produced by the band to date.
Lead singer/keyboardist Marq Andrew Speck explains:
“From the opening call-to-arms anthem of ‘The Other Side Of Calvary’ to the inspirational and emotional messages of ‘Heaven’s Call’ and ‘Soldiers Of The Crown’…the music, message, mission and ministry of the band remains strong with ‘7TH HEAVEN’.”
Featuring performances by special guests Peggy Turner-Carr David Perez and David Winans II, this seven-song, seventh release by the band (thus the title) contains songs of hope, songs of love lost and found and directions on how to get from the trials and tribulations of this life to the triumphs and glories of the next.
“We decided to also cover a few songs from bands and artists we grew up with,” continues Speck. “We ‘Crystalized’ (our term for how we cover ‘covers’) the song ‘Let The Day Begin’ from 70’s Christian rockers The Call and then went back to the glory days of the 60’s Detroit music scene by recording our version of ‘Checkmate’ by the SRC.”
