“Devil’s Dance” is a 13-track album by German three-piece SpitFire, and it is a release that is packed full of rip-roaring rock, loaded with a ton of attitude and a hefty helping of hard-rocking power.
SpitFire’s take on rock’n'roll involves twisting together some hard rock, some metal, some throwback rockabilly, then dousing it all with a shot of southern rock before setting it alight with the band’s high-energy delivery. There are plenty of hot riffs, and enough grit and muscle in the performance to rev up the party engines. Think a little Volbeat, think a bit of Motley Crue, and you’ll be in the right neighborhood.
