Release date: Friday, January 21st 2022, The Witch Metal band SPACE PARASITES was founded in early 2017 in Berlin by Willi Will (drums), Diana “Gory Di” (bass) and Sebastian “Iron” Daschke. In August 2017, Nadine “Danger Diene” was recruited for singing.
It took time to find a second guitarist to give the sound a final touch. In September 2020 the time had come, Matti joined and completed the quintet. It soon became clear where the journey would ultimately lead. The former thrashy sound gave way to its own crisp, distinctive timbre, which has its roots in classic Heavy Metal.
In June 2018 the first songs were ready and SPACE PARASITES recorded the demo EP “A Date with Thrash Doctor” on their own. The first gigs followed.
Infected by the music virus, they began to write new songs with the plan to release a record. "RAW AND VIOLENT" that saw release as a DIY in the music world in September 2019 and it does what it says on the tin. The sound is raw nd brutal.
Banned to the rehearsal room by the Covid 19 pandemic, SPACE PARASITES had time to write new songs, to find their true style, more diverse, more variable.
The new album "THE SPELLBOUND WITCH" is ready now. The witch is a recurring theme and is deepened again with the new record. The resulting album was professionally recorded and produced by Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studio in Troisdorf. IRON SHIELD RECORDS were wooed with these new, varied and haunting melodies, the album is coming in beginning 2022!
