SIX TON BUDGIE was borne out of post BUDGIE outfit TREDEGAR by the original BUDGIE drummer Ray Phillips. The 'Unplucked' album features re-works of classic BUDGIE numbers. SIX TON BUDGIE was formed in 1992 with bassist John Marsh and guitarist Sam Lees. However, before long Phillips son Justin Phillips was enrolled on guitar and the band also added ex-TREDEGAR and PHANTASM bassist Tom Prince.
