What eventually became the artistic endeavor which for a time consumed the majority of our creative energy and sanity had its seed planted by a half-joke/half-observation while driving around in 2013.
We hadn't really played in a proper band together since we were in high school, but we thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a heavy metal band named 'Shagohod,'" after the fictional superweapon and main plot point of the video game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, a shared favorite of ours in all of its melodrama, camp and downright outlandishness.
