As a repeating event the staff of Classic Rock Magazine compile a cd of what they regard the best new releases and re-issues of the year. Destryah! Best of 2006 was free with Classic Rock Magazine issue #101 published January 2007.

Though printed on both the cover and cd surface the track by World Party (What Does It Mean) is not included on the cd. There are 10 tracks on the cd not 11 as stated. Maximum Volume! came free with Classic Rock Magazine issue #22 published December 2000.

Some of the songs are fair, but most are not the original version, but either re-recorded as the older singers, Example: We’re not going to take it, it doesn’t sound right at all. Other songs are performed by people other than the original vocalist and did not sound good at all.

Published May 2005 with Classic Rock Magazine issue #145 the free cd Bluesbreakers was giving examples of what was happening in blues music at the time blending track of the established names with the lesser known.

  Classic Rock Magazine issue #21 was published December 2000 including the free cd “A Right Earful!”  

Heavy Metal is a 1981 Canadian adult animated sci-fi-fantasy film directed by Gerald Potterton, produced by Ivan Reitman and Leonard Mogel, who also was the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine, which was the basis for the film.
