RECORDED IN THE EARLY 90s AND NOW RELEASED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON CD , MEET BAY AREA MELODIC HARD ROCKERS 'SAKER'!! LED BY ENIGMATIC GUITARIST DAVE SAKER , SAKER WENT THROUGH A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT SINGERS AND WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS THE COMPLETE COLLECTION OF RECORDINGS FEATURING 3 DIFFERENT VOCALISTS. FROM THE POWERFUL HARD DRIVING MELODIC ROCKERS LIKE 'CRY OUT' TO BEAUTIFUL AOR BALLADS LIKE 'PASSION SPIN' TO THE FULL ON HAIR METAL OF 'YOUR LOVE' , I BELIEVE THIS IS AMONG RETROSPECT'S TOP RELEASES. KILLER SONGS , KILLER EXECUTION. ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL FOR FANS OF: Whitesnake , Lynch Mob , Eyes (or any of Jeff Scott Soto's projects) , Danger Danger , Hardline , Icon , Banshee and bands like Nelson / Trixter (2nd half of album)..

SAKER was formed in the ’80s by guitarist Dave Saker (RIP) – who later formed Bad Boy Eddy releasing some cool albums – recorded several tracks between its existence between 1991-1996. Hailing from the Bay Area, SAKER went through varied styles – Melodic Rock / AOR in their origins similar to House of Lords, LA. Rocks, After Hours, Icon (‘Right Between The Eyes’ album), to more hard rock later.
While Saker released a cassette by themselves the group never properly got their material published, until Retrospect Records compiled the all the band recordings into CD.

There’s three different singers on these tapes, and as said, different sonic approach. We prefer the first 6 tracks from 1991, all killer AOR/MR tunes with very good playing, arrangements, and execution.
If properly released and promoted, songs like ‘Cry Out’, ‘Passion Spin’, ‘Edge Of Love’ or ‘Spell On Me’ – all complete with melodic riffs, keyboard splashes, cool choruses and strong lead vocals – could easily have been hits on MTV.
