This limited edition CD of 500 copies issued by A.R.A., has the rejected by their record label 1980 album.
This album was not commercial enough and specially the label hated the lyrics claiming to be too gross. The band put aside this recording that only survived until today on a few cassette tapes and from this album only a few ideas were used for the 1981 album Assault and Battery. In 1982 the band used the title Scarred for Life for their third album but from this 1980 album the only thing in common is just the title. 10 songs plus one bonus track (an exclusive b side from RT first single released in 1977) all remastered for this edition.
ROSE TATTOO The 1980 Lost Album
That’s absolute rubbish. This record will never be released despite what “Roast Atooh” says. They’ve also said this crap elsewhere on other sites as “Marc Hunter”. So download away here and anywhere. Better that the album is heard than rotting away unheard. Wouldn’t be surprised if “Roast Atooh” was behind the recent CD of this album and is trying to put people off downloading in order to buy their bootleg instead. By the way, none of the bootleg sales goes to the band, anyway, so download to your heart’s content, and if you like what you hear, buy something official from the Tatts to show your appreciation and chuck some money their way. Just don’t buy “Roast Atooh”‘s bootleg CD.
DON’T post this album here. It’s to be released officially later this year as a benefit album to raise money for Cancer charities in memory of the seven former members of Rose Tattoo who have died from the disease. You would be shitting on the memories of those deceased former members by leaking the record ahead of it’s release. Show some respect, support the band & cancer research by buying the record.
