Country Australia Released 2019 This limited edition CD of 500 copies issued by A.R.A., has the Rose Tattoo rejected by their record label 1980 album.
This album was not commercial enough and specially the label hated the lyrics claiming to be too gross.
The band put aside this recording that only survived until today on a few cassette tapes and from this album only a few ideas were used for the 1981 album Assault and Battery.
In 1982 Rose Tattoo used the title Scarred for Life for their third album but from this 1980 album the only thing in common is just the title.
10 songs plus one bonus track (an exclusive B side from RT first single released in 1977) all remastered for this edition.

Anon, there are plenty of unauthorised releases for sale on discogs, amazon, iTunes, Bandcamp & the like. Just because these companies are viewed as legit doesn’t mean that they have the ability or inclination to adequately police what they sell. They more often than not merely pay lip service to the established rules & do the bare minimum to enforce them.
Joske, i’m not rising to the bait. The people who’s opinion we value are the artists who we work with & the fans who buy our deluxe re-releases, not trolls hiding behind anonymous non-de-plumes on the internet.

Please remove the download links for this album from your site. This is an unofficial bootleg version of recordings which are due to be officially issued in digitally remastered form by Aztec Records (AU) later this year. The Aztec version is officially sanctioned by the band & will have copious sleevenotes by the band’s lynchpin Angry Anderson & pristine remastered sound. In accordance with the band’s instructions, as a tribute to their fallen comrades the profits from it’s sale will be donated to Cancer charities in memory of the 6 former members of Rose Tattoo who have perished from that terrible disease, (including 3 of the 4 members who play on this album). This bootleg issue is an insult to their memories and it’s presence here in this sub-par form risks potentially putting people off from supporting the upcoming sanctioned release, depriving the charities of the monies it should generate for them. With all this in mind, please comply with my request to remove the link, support the official release later in the year & help celebrate this legendary band’s incredible legacy & the philanthropic effort they’ve undertaken in memory of their fallen friends.
