ROKETS is a ferocious rocking and a rolling band from Helsinki, Finland. They’ve spread the word on their primal and fast rock’n’roll through the constant live shows around the Nordics and Baltic states since their establishment in 2017. For their third album “Bad Choices“, Rokets have joined forces with Svart Records to expand their reach and are ready to spread their wings and grab the world by its throat.
This Helsinki-based quintet delivers an adrenaline shot of hard-driving rock ‘n’ roll, blending old-school riffs with street level attitude and some serious melodic firepower. Known for their wild, electric live shows and fast-paced delivery, ”Bad Choices” bottles that same raw energy and lets it burn bright across nine tracks of high-octane fury.
The album opens with the title track “Bad Choices”, setting the tone with crunchy riffs, pounding drums, and thumping bass layered beneath Sami Mustonen’s commanding vocals. “Shackles Without Chains” follows with a groove-laden stomp that sways and struts with confidence. “Overload” kicks in with enough force to ignite a mosh pit, oozing attitude and momentum.
“Louisa” is a crowd-pleaser built for fist-pumping and headbanging, while “White Raven” lands as the album’s standout anthem—its infectious hooks and soaring leads make it impossible not to hit replay. “Law And Order” brings a barrage of crunchy guitar work and commanding vocal shouts, underpinned by thunderous rhythm work that slams hard.
“Wheels To Kill” is your highway soundtrack, meant to be blasted with the windows down as you floor it into the sunset. “Diamonds And Dust” dials into the emotional edge of the album, inviting listeners to flow with its melodic undertones.
Closer “Lights Out” wraps the journey with more screaming guitars, pounding rhythms, and a final dose of the band’s signature punch.
ROKETS continue to refine their sound by blending classic hard rock roots with a modern hard-hitting edge. This is primal R n’ R but very well crafted, with melody and clever arrangements.
