This is a huge sensation! Before that, Heavy Metal had never been broadcast on German TV or radio. A few weeks later, the German metal magazine "Metal Hammer" came out with an extensive coverage of the festival. And it was another sensation... a whole magazine with nothing but hard & heavy bands!!!
This festival was very special as it was the real birthday of the huge Hard Rock and Heavy Metal scene that found a place in Germany and Europe. "Metal Hammer" has become one of the most important music magazines in Europe. The festival was also a platform for so many bands like Warlock, Manowar, Metallica and others that no one knew about before.
This edition is a bootleg never officially released, but this does not detract from its value for rock lovers, because this is 1983, and many of the bands presented here were at the height of their glory at that time!
