Sweden We last caught up with Swedish retro rockers Riot Horse with their stunning debut This is Who We Are back in 2014, and here they are four years later followed by the observation of an equally heavy rocking and pleasant cold Hearted Woman. The 2018 group consists of:
Musically, a cold hearted woman picks up the place where his predecessor ceased to exist, a band loving all things Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cactus, Humble Pie, Mountain, the Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Grand Funk Railroad to endure a sound that screams classic rock, but is still quite modern in its delivery. The initial title track can't miss hard rock and roll, filled with channel grooves and nasty Blues guitar faces, Sidow's vocals sitting somewhere between Robert plant and David Coverdale, while the more atmospheric "Moving out of town" raises the Blues, but still contains a lot of hooks. Hammond's seated organ and incendiary lead guitar work permeate the menacing Blues of "My only woman," a distant relative in the Mk3 Deep Purple era, as well as early Whitesnake, and the images of Free and Cactus come out to the sweaty, sultry Blues of "Glad You Came," in which a guest female vocalist is present to share the spotlight with Sidow. "Moon shadow" is the pure devotion of Led Zepp, and great in it, the mighty riffs flying around the mix and complemented by some deft acoustic tones and thunder drums. The group's love for Black Krosan never more evident than on the raised "Black whiskey," a hoarse, southern-style rocker (more cowbell !!) with an endless supply of groove and nasty guitar hissing, leading to a haunting slow burn of "Your love is gone," another tune that brings to mind freedom, with its soft, Blues textures battling with heavy rock Majesty, Schuttman, offering a large assortment of its wide guitar Arsenal. Hammond's organ is back and crept along with jangly's bluesy rock riffs on mid-rock rocker "Down on Your Knees", and it also plays a big part in the fact that more funk & blues are based closer to "Feel My Love", which is sort of like Jimi Hendrix's marriage and Led Zeppelin. Cool track with a fine groove.
