Nothing new in the music scene, yes, but "Sighs of Sorrow" is summed up all the musical potential of available Kingdom Of Hades: good melodies, strong rhythm, good work for violin and keyboards, guitars and a powerful voice well suited to style, technically outstanding ... but (yes, there is a but, always the bloody but) they lack a mild dose of charisma, something that distinguishes the few bands chosen from the rest of the pack. I guess it's about experience and give them time. They are good, the songs are based on the best of the legendary Heavy 80 (with epic instrumental introduction included) and above all, extremely courageous in practice a style that must feel genuine devotion as it is not exactly fashionable in the rock universe (in this country, of course), that is to value highly.
Extraordinary "Princess of Darkness" delicious the beginning of "The Jovial Blonde" in "Eternal Conviction" find all the characteristics of style. What's your style? Good question, I would say that they love the Heavy-Power-Metal-Hard-Thrash, Melodic Folk-Epic-80's with influences from A to Z through all the mythical were enormous (and not so huge) of that golden decade. Tell me, if not, where did they get the inspiration for a theme of the caliber of "Like A Ray Of Light" (reminds you of someone? I heard some girl ...?).
Rabid riff to start "Cries Of War", "The Order of Calatrava" is an instrumental as was tradition in some of the best albums released in the period style. Rides based rhythmic vocal melodies and classical literature in "Legends of the Grail" and finale to "Persephone" with funeral bells and again including those influences.
Improving the compositions to seek membership of the listener and his addiction to the melodies and harmonies of Kingdom of Hades is what I can give that extra to stand out, in the great herd, as a band with recognizable style. Keep in mind that although "Legends of Acheron" is the debut album Kingdom Of Hades its origins back to the beginning of the new century with a couple of demos recorded during this period. Highlight the good production, above the usual average in productions of its kind in this country.
