1111After you have made ??the situation a couple of years ago with " XXX" (note the double meaning represented by that title ) , an anthology that has signed the thirty-year career of the heavy metal band of ours , to get back the Rain live with " Mexican Way" , a work containing twelve episodes mainly performed in acoustic , thickened by intermittent electrical input .

For the record , this album is not the beginning of a radical change undertaken by ours, but it is simply an act impromptu project to reinterpret some of the episodes of the most signficant recent career , with the addition of some unreleased track and a couple of interesting covers. The latter category includes the sfronata " Tijuana Jail " , written and performed by former Guns N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, and the smash hit "Ride Like The Wind " , brought to success in 1980 by singer-songwriter Christopher Cross , known mostly for fans of heavy music for convincing reinterpretation of the Saxon. The remaining majority of the songs in the lineup is oriented mainly on the side of hard rock stars and stripes , which reached a remarkable peak in the enveloping quality "Hard Proof" without, however, disdaining some risky (but winning ) bet within the ' latin rock ' . The riotous title track features a chorus easy to remember and the temperature rises further due to the large amount of energy expressed in " Whiskey On The Route 666 ", both interpreted in Spanish language with remarkable results . From this experiment is shown in particular the considerable technical padronzanza Massimiliano Scarcia and Alessio Amorati on acoustic guitars , coupled with the unquestionable power and expressiveness issued by tempering voice of Francesco Grandi. Although there were a few empty passage , revealed excessive mawkishness inherent in the DNA of " Fallen Angel " and " Bet That I Lie ," " Mexican Way" is a work that shows a nice new side of the band is a piece of Bologna and atypical but essential in their discography . If you plan on traveling to Mexico , do not forget to bring a copy of this CD , which could become a more than decent soundtrack for your long journey together , of course, a generous dose of tequila.
