ormed in the mid-Seventies in Texas, POINT BLANK early albums are guitar driven, southern commercial rock oriented, and at the beginning of the ’80s their sound turned more radio friendly.
It was 1982, and for “On A Roll” POINT BLANK added a lot of keyboards into the mix alogside the smooth melodic guitars and multi-part harmonies. The title track and ‘Great White Line’ were AOR radio hits.
If you love .38 Special, Van Zant, Harlequin, Doc Holliday, etc, but much more ‘anthemic AOR’, “On A Roll” is essential in your collection.
