The Endless River, the forthcoming album from Progressive Rock greats PINK FLOYD to be released next month, is the band’s first since 1994′s The Division Bell, and the band’s David Gilmour says it will be their last.
The first single “Louder Than Words,” with lyrics from Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson, has surfaced today, October 9th.

The song is a lovely piece of work, a slow prog-rock elegy with an gospel choir and some classic Floyd guitar. And it’s a tribute to both the band’s internal dynamics and to multi-instrumentalist Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008.

David Gilmour – guitars, vocals, keyboards, bass
Nick Mason – drums, percussion
Richard Wright – keyboards, synthesizer
Bob Ezrin – bass
