PANIC FIRE is one of the bands of Gary Schutt, the virtuoso electric guitarist former Jeff Scott Soto band. Gary has been a solo artist as well for over 25 years with a vast catalog of original music spans from melodic rock / pop to metal and hard rock.
Around a decade ago Schutt formed Panic Fire – a power trio where he handles lead vocals and of course guitars, including long time musician friends Tracy Ferrell on bass and Cody Paige on drums. We already featured at 0dayrox the band’s two strong albums from 2017 and 2018.
Now 2024 PANIC FIRE are releasing “Compendium“, an album many years in the making and where Schutt amassed a lot of songs the band recorded in the last few years, plus a live set capturing the trio on stage.
“Compendium” mostly features the melodic hard rock Schutt is known for, but also a couple of progessive-pop tunes, modern rock style songs, a few more metallic – a wide spectrum of this talented musician. Oh, and Gary sings better than ever.
It’s nice to hear as well PANIC FIRE live, rawer than in the studio, with a true power-trio feeling.
