The Rose West is an eclectic, progressive bent rock outfit based out of Brooklyn. Vita Nova is the brainchild of LA singer/songwriter VK Lynne and composer/guitarist Federico Salerno in Milan, who are setting out to challenge the conventional ‘band’ paradigm in 2012
Canadian composer and multi-instrumentalist RICK MILLER made his debut effort as a solo artist back in 1983 with the new age production Starsong, which shifted a highly respectable 30.000 units at the time. He would follow up this venture with Windhaven in 1987, and his efforts Interstellar Passage from 1998 and the EP No Passion, No Pain from 2009 would continue exploring similar musical territories.
But after honing his craft working at Sound Design Studios in Toronto throughout the 80's and 90's, Miller wanted to have a go at his true musical love as well, atmospheric progressive rock inspired by artists such as Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues and Steve Hackett.
This lead to a flurry of releases following the start of the millenium: The One (2003), Dreamtigers (2004), The End of Days (2006) and Angel of My Soul (2008). These efforts gave Miller a good reputation, and in 2009 he was signed by Canadian indie label Unicorn Records. His first release for this label was the 2009 effort Falling Through Rainbows.

Review:
It is pretty obvious that Italy's Cathouse has two things on their mind - music and sex, and I'm sure they are using this mini album in an attempt to get the later. These long haired foreigners have done their homework and know exactly what made sleaze metal so great. Those elements are gritty vocals, searing solos and a "fuck you" attitude, all of which Cathouse seem to posses.
"Lesbian Night" kicks things off after the short funny intro of "Phone Call" and begins with wailing guitars. I have no idea what the singer is saying but it sounds like him and the band are having a hell of a time. "From My Heart" is an average song, but the riff throughout is incredible. The best song on In Pussy We Trust has to be "Teenager Desire". It has a harmonica and slide guitar and sounds like something Cinderella would have pulled off in their later years.
One song on here is kind of sad, that being "Time To Be Superstar". The lyrics go, "time to be superstar for me", and even though these guys have the talent, the chances of a sleaze band becoming superstars these days are miniscule. It pisses a guy off knowing that bands like Cathouse exist in obscurity while completely inept bands rule the 'rock' charts. But maybe this type of music is supposed to remain underground?
Vocalist DD Cat has an appropriate name as he has a screech that some listeners might not be able to handle. He has the perfect voice for Cathouse, but sometimes he is too over the top (Axl Rose also has this effect on me). Overall I enjoyed In Pussy We Trust, a debut album that should satisfy fans of dirty hard rock.
‘Circle of Fire’ will be released on 12 March through Steve Vai’s label, Digital Nations, as a digital download and will also be available in full CD quality download through Jay Parmar’s website.

His first musical calling card was Marc grass in front of more than 10 years, at that timeas Thonk. Another big footprint he set in 2004 with its new, named after his pen name,RAK progressive band in the landscape. The concept album about the life of themonarch butterfly and the story of a girl living through the changes must be satisfied with complex rhythm patterns, changing from quiet, melodic moments on one side andaggressive rock parts on the other side. Marc Grassi has left for his third work of a lot of time. Eight years have passed, in whichhe, and I quote, "child of the conceptual predecessor," composed, recorded and grind.He himself describes the album as a modern, atmospheric, richly harmonic and rhythmicelements accessible to and in spite of its complexity as clearly and emotionally. As hehas also now on Lepidoptera Liechti Mike on drums and Dave Thwaites with a singer on board. New is joined by Stefan Gabele it on guitar. While grass is itself rooted in the tradition of great role models such as Genesis and Yes, Liechti controls in a strong andcomplex game in the vein of Tool, Planet X and Gabel takes a blend of blues and prog metal like Symphony X on the fretboard. Dave Thwaites finally, oftenrough-rocking voice. The music is moving, consequently, the force field of these influences: Retro progmetalligem with paint, packed into a concept album.
