From the mid-19th century, the region supplied Europe's industrialisation with the required raw materials, mined under back-breaking conditions below ground in coal pits named Carl, Anna, Fritz-Heinrich, Helene and the like. This Japanese reissue from the past decade – the only ever done as far we know – sounds fantastic. Not only has been remastered, but although it isn’t specified, it has been remixed too. The DVD concert performance is a rousing daylight display in which the band tried their best to win the fickle Brits over, and they pretty much succeeded. The Reading crowd didn’t really know what to think of the band, but by the end of the set, they were quite pleased. More»
Meat & 3 Veg Blues Rock with inflictions of late 80ies lead breaks, grungy gravely vocals & a real flared-jeans 70 flavour. Sometimes I hear Zeppelin, other times Sound Garden, the bluesy side of Motörhead is there and there’s even a little Five Horse Johnson. But the beauty of this album is it‘s done sooo damn well.
