A few weeks ago plotn08 already premiered the Japanese physical CD edition of ModX debut album “Secrets“, including 2 bonus tracks exclusive for the Asian market. Now “Secrets” is about to be released in Europe. This European Edition features two exclusive bonus tracks too.
The idea for ModX has been a work in progress for singer / songwriter Peter Ericson since as far back as 2005 but often put aside temporarily over the years, due to other commitments in the music industry. By the fall of 2020 though, he finally found the time to prioritize ModX and went into the studio with some talented musicians to start the recordings of the songs penned over the years.
And what an album it is! ”Secrets” will be on many Top 10 ‘Best Of The Year‘ lists – for us, it’s the 2023 Best AOR album so far.
This is timeless AOR / Melodic Rock-spiced music crafted with attention to detail, where melody rule. Needless to say production is crystal clear, but it’s the songwriting skills what really shine here.
These songs are emotional, from the heart, varied, intelligent, plenty of soaring vocals, sparkling keyboards, bright guitars – think Mr Mister, 1985 Journey, StreetTalk – all killers / no fillers.
