”Rock Shock” is the title of this new ‘best of’ album by the award-winning, legendary guitarist MICHAEL SCHENKER. This is a release from Schenker’s former German record label which released all the ‘Temple Of Rock’ albums. It’s an official silver-pressed CD, not a bootleg.

The material included here are live tracks captured in Japan plus studio songs recorded with talented singer Gary Barden. Musically this longplayer shows the guitarist at the top of his game, surrounded by some of the best musicians in rock such as Don Airey, Simon Phillips, Neil Murray, etc.
While all these tracks have been released before, the live versions appear edited for the first time so there’s no crowd noises, band presentation, etc; just the songs from start to finish. And they sound darn fine. Regarding the studio tracks, all are good MSG songs not so well known / heard for a vast portion of hard rock aficionados.
Schenker never disappoints. Highly Recommended
