Michael Breen is the former stage name of Michel Pépin (born 1960 in Nicolet, Quebec) a Canadian pop and rock singer and session musician. Although he released only one album as a solo artist, he had a hit single with "Rain" in 1987. The song was written by then still unknown Sass Jordan and she also contributed background vocals on the album and was featured on "How Will I Know".

He left for Montreal at 17 and before long found himself playing in the French prog-rock band Concert when they recorded their sophomore album "Vitamin". When he left Concert he changed his stage name to Michael Breen an joined The Sailcats as their frontman for a year or so.
Pépin never released another album as a solo artist but instead worked as session guitarist with names like Luba, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Sarah McLachlan, Martha Wainwright, Emmylou Harris and Jean Leloup. He also opened his own studio, Studio Frisson.
