Breaking Habits is a truly old-school album; it was recorded by three guys playing at the same time in the same room. It's organic without trying too hard to be modern. Its length will please the vinyl gods. What we hear in the course of 44 minutes is very creative, sometimes even catchy but always really interesting music. Let yourself get caught up in the powerful rhythm of Birds of Prey, sink into the more mellow mood of Feet on the Desk (the album’s first single), soar to the hypnotic title track (one of two instrumentals), funk it up to Tattoo, and tune in to the psychedelia of the longest track of the bunch, Floating Over.
Breaking Habits is an album by a classic three-piece rock band. Each musician – as the album title suggests – makes a break from his musical habits and reveals a new face to the world. It’s a diverse piece of work done "old-style", but, most importantly, a record that has taken some courage to create. After all, it is a very human habit to pigeonhole artists, and sometimes the emergency exit from the pigeonhole is not very well lit.
The band’s line-up is:
MACIEJ MELLER – guitarist known for his work in Quidam
MACIEJ GOŁYŹNIAK – drummer from Sorry Boys, also works with Brodka and Natalia Nykiel
MARIUSZ DUDA – bassist, vocalist, leader of Riverside and the man behind Lunatic Soul
